Not receiving email in your disposable inbox? Start with the timeline

Most delays come from the sender’s queue, a mistyped address, or the sender blocking disposable domains. Don’t keep switching addresses—preserve the details first, then check the easiest possibilities.

First, check how long you’ve been waiting

The right action depends on how much time has passed. Repeatedly clicking Send may trigger rate limits on the sender’s side.

0–2 minutes

Confirm the message was sent

Check that the original site shows “Sent,” verify the complete email address on the page, keep your inbox open, and refresh it once manually.

2–10 minutes

Check the sender’s queue

Verification-code services can experience brief congestion. Resend only once, and remember that the old and new codes may arrive out of order.

10–20 minutes

Check whether the message was rejected

If messages from other sources arrive but this one does not, the sender’s policy or domain restrictions are usually responsible.

More than 20 minutes

Choose an alternative

For low-risk tasks, try again with a new disposable address. For important accounts, use an email address you control long term—don’t rely on a late message.

Five-point checklist

Narrow down the cause, from address to message content

Complete each check before moving to the next so you know what actually fixed the problem.

Copy the address again

Don’t type it from memory. Check that everything before and after @ is correct, that there are no extra spaces, and that the original site didn’t retain the old address after you switched.

Confirm the inbox is still active

An address whose countdown has reached zero can no longer reliably receive mail. If it is still active, extend its time before replacing it.

Refresh manually and check the status

The Refresh button should provide feedback. If the network is disconnected or the request fails, wait for the connection to recover and try again.

Test with another trusted sender

Send a plain-text message without attachments from an email account you control. If it arrives, your inbox is working and the issue is more likely with the original site.

Check whether a disposable email is suitable

Banks, healthcare providers, government services, and paid accounts may reject disposable domains. They are also unsuitable when account recovery depends on a short-term address.

When to stop troubleshooting

If the task involves payment, long-term sign-in, legal notices, or account recovery, switch immediately to an email address you can control long term. Disposable email is for isolating low-risk, one-time interactions—not for replacing a permanent identity.

If messages from several trusted senders still fail to arrive while the address is active, note the time, address domain, and error details, then send them to support@forwardtmp.com. Do not include verification codes or sensitive message content.
