How long does a disposable email last?
New addresses are valid for three hours by default. You can extend the time from the toolbar, but the total validity of one email cannot exceed twenty-four hours.
Does the inbox refresh automatically?
Yes. The page checks for new messages regularly. Clicking “Refresh inbox” also checks immediately and shows you the result.
Why are there already two messages in an empty inbox?
They are interface demos showing a Microsoft verification code and a Dropbox sharing notification, so you can preview the reading experience. Demo rows disappear automatically when real email arrives.
Can I use it to sign up for a bank or important account?
We don’t recommend it. Services that require long-term sign-in, billing, or account recovery should use an email address you control continuously; disposable addresses are best for short-term, low-risk tasks.
Can I still use the old email after changing addresses?
Changing the address creates a new three-hour inbox and invalidates the old one. Before switching, make sure you’re no longer waiting for messages at the old address.
What’s the difference between a forwarding alias and disposable email?
Disposable email receives messages temporarily in the browser. A forwarding alias sends messages to your real inbox, making it better for ongoing communication when you don’t want to reveal your real address.
